About me

Maksym Beznosiuk is a strategic policy and security analyst specialising in Russia, Ukraine, hybrid warfare, and international security. He is an Associate Fellow at GLOBSEC’s Centre for Global Europe and a Contributing Analyst at The Jamestown Foundation in Washington, DC.

He has authored more than 100 articles, reports, and policy analyses for leading think tanks and policy platforms, including RUSI, the Atlantic Council, Carnegie Europe, The National Interest, CEPA, the Wilfried Martens Centre for European Studies, ISPI, Fondation pour la Recherche Stratégique, New Eastern Europe, Visegrad Insight, and Kyiv Post.

His work focuses on Russia’s military and hybrid strategy, Ukrainian defence, China-Russia strategic convergence, foreign information manipulation and interference, societal resilience, critical infrastructure protection, and EU-Ukraine cooperation.

His analysis has been quoted, cited, or featured by more than 50 media and policy platforms across 26 countries, including BBC News, Sky News, The Telegraph, Fox News, ABC News Australia, and Russia Matters at Harvard Kennedy School. His work has also been cited in official and academic policy publications, including by the U.S. Department of Defense’s Joint Special Operations University and the Latvian Ministry of Defence.

Maksym has over 10 years of experience in project management, data analysis, and complex research delivery across Central and Eastern Europe. He has extensive experience analysing Ukrainian- and Russian-language primary sources, conducting expert interviews, and working with institutions focused on defence, security, resilience, and European policy.

He holds an LL.M. from the University of Edinburgh, a Double Master’s in European Studies from Uppsala University and Jagiellonian University, and degrees in public international law from Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv. He is a Chevening Scholar and Erasmus Mundus Scholar, and is fluent in English, Ukrainian, Russian, and Polish.
